Refer-a-Friend Programme Terms & Conditions
ShopBack rewards you with an incentive for every qualified referral*.
*A "qualified referral” refers to the status of your referral after completion of the following:
(i) signs up via your unique referral link OR unique referral code OR unique e-mail address,
(ii) makes an accumulated minimum spend of RM25 stated or more through ShopBack.
(iii) has their Cashback (from the minimum spend above) confirmed (excludes bonus Cashback)
(iv) has their Cashback withdrawal method of choice details filled.
It is only upon completion of all of the above within 180 days from friend sign up date that a referral will be considered "qualified" and the referral bonus and friend bonus will be paid out. The referral bonus for the referrer and friend will expire if all of the above is not completed within 180 days from the friend sign up date.
Additional information for each points above:
i.i) Your referred friend must sign up via a unique device (Mobile/Desktop/Tablet) to prevent having their referral bonus forfeited.
ii.i) Any order that does not earn Cashback, or is cancelled, exchanged, or refunded, will not count towards the minimum spend.
ii.ii) The following merchants are excluded from the qualifying spend: SurveyWall, RinggitPlus, Maxis, Unifi broadband, Unifi and TIME Internet. Please note that ShopBack reserves the right to add or amend the list.
The status of your referral bonus will appear as ‘Pending’ in both accounts once your referred friend signs up.
The status of your referral bonus will move to ‘Confirmed’ once your referred friend meets all the criteria highlighted above within 180 days from friend sign up date.
The status of your referral bonus may take up to 48 hours to update to ‘Confirmed’ from the moment all criteria is met.
The status of your referral bonus may move to 'Rejected' if all criteria is not met within 180 days from friend sign up date.
The following is a non-exhaustive list of activities that are not permitted and that will disqualify you from earning referral bonuses:
(i) self-referral,
(ii) posting your referral link on any ShopBack merchant's Facebook or forum page,
(iii) disguising your referral link as a generic link and populating it within web pages,
(iii) keyword bidding for the purpose of generating traffic to pages containing your referral link, and (iv) any similar activity determined by ShopBack in its sole discretion to be inconsistent with the purpose of ShopBack's Refer-a-Friend Programme.
ShopBack reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to amend and vary the terms and conditions of this programme as set out above, as well as to disqualify any users at any point of time. Any infringement of the above terms and conditions would result in the loss of all bonuses. Repeat offences would result in the closure of your ShopBack account.
11.11 Friends with Benefits Campaign Terms & Conditions
- This giveaway is conducted by Ecommerce Enablers Pte Ltd
- Campaign period: 1 November 2025 00:00 MYT to 11 November 2025 23:59 MYT.
Eligibility
- Only a pair of users who have completed the following will be eligible to be picked in the draw (an “Eligible Pair”):
- An existing ShopBack user (the “Referrer”) must refer a friend ( a “Referee”) between 1 November 2025 00:00 MYT to 11 November 2025 23:59 MYT. The friend must sign up as a new member of ShopBack through the Referrer on ShopBack’s Refer-A-Friend programme. (Please see ShopBack’s Refer-A-Friend programme page https://www.shopback.my/referral/invite for more details. Terms and Conditions of ShopBack’s Refer-A-Friend programme apply.)
- Referrer and Referee must individually complete a minimum of 1 online transaction via ShopBack (click through ShopBack and make a purchase on one of our merchant partners’s stores) on 11 November 2025. ShopBack Pay, ShopBack Play and Surveys are excluded.
- Once the cashback status has changed to “tracked” for both Referrer and Referee, both users will be eligible for the draw.
Available Prize
- Each Eligible Pair stands a chance to win 111x of their total Cashback earned through online transactions (click through ShopBack and make a purchase on one of our merchant partners’s stores. ShopBack Pay, Vouchers, ShopBack Play and Surveys are excluded) on 11 November 2025 between 00:00 to 23:59 MYT on the ShopBack platform, capped at winnings of MYR 3,000 per person.
- For example: Eligible Pair earned the following amounts of cashback on 11 November 2025 on the ShopBack platform through online transactions - Referrer earned MYR 1 cashback, Referee earned MYR 10 cashback. If selected as the winner, this Eligible Pair will win: Referrer wins additional MYR 111 cashback, Referee earns additional MYR 1,110 cashback.
- Only 1 Eligible Pair from the pool of all Eligible Pairs will be selected to win the prize by random draw.
Draw, Claiming of Prize, and Announcement of Winners
- The drawing of the winning Eligible Pair will be conducted on 2 Dec 2025, at the ShopBack Malaysia Office in Menara IGB, Lingkaran Syed Putra, 59200 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan, Malaysia, at 1730hrs.
- ShopBack will award the winning Eligible Pair 111x of their individually earned cashback on 11 November 2025, up to the maximum reward cap entitlement (MYR 3,000 per person). The winning Eligible Pair will receive the prize in the form of cashback credited to each user’s ShopBack cashback wallet directly. The winnings will be credited to their ShopBack cashback wallet by [31 Dec].
- The winning Eligible Pair will be notified via the email address that is used for the ShopBack account by [9 Dec]. Winners are required to acknowledge the notification email within 7 days before the prize will be credited to them. Please check your promotions or junk folder in the case it lands there.
- In the event of an unclaimed prize, ShopBack will conduct a re-drawing of the winner on 22 December 2025 at the ShopBack Malaysia Office in Menara IGB, Lingkaran Syed Putra, 59200 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan, Malaysia, at 1730hrs.
- Results of the giveaway will be posted on https://www.shopback.my/referral/invite by 9 Dec 2025.
Other Terms and Conditions
- Winners consent to ShopBack publishing their name (or handle/abbreviated name on request) and prize on the ShopBack app/website/social media pages and in ShopBack emails/push notifications for the purpose of announcing winners.
- ShopBack may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any winners without cause and notice, in particular if: users are not eligible or have made fraudulent orders; users do not comply with the terms and conditions of this giveaway or ShopBack’s Refer-A-Friend programme; users violate any applicable laws or regulations.
- ShopBack reserves the right to amend or withdraw the terms and conditions without prior notice.
- ShopBack reserves the right to invalidate any order that does not comply with the terms and conditions.
- ShopBack reserves the right to stop and end the program at any time.
- In the event of any disqualification, ShopBack reserves the right to forfeit the prize / conduct a subsequent draw on 22 Dec 2025 to select new winners.
